About us

Royal Aeronautical Society

As the world’s oldest professional body dedicated to the aerospace community, the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) exists to further the advancement of aeronautical art, science and engineering around the world.

Established in the UK in 1866, the RAeS is a multi-disciplinary organisation that has been at the forefront of developments in aerospace, seeking to promote the highest professional standards and provide a central forum for sharing knowledge. Made up of Divisions and Branches around the world, the RAeS hosts conferences and lectures to share knowledge, stimulate debate, and facilitate action on key industry issues in order to reflect and respond to the constant innovation and progress in the aerospace industry.
